    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: April 8, 2026

The Seed Protocol ("TSP," "we," "us," or "our") is a spiritual content platform exploring Hebraic linguistics, theological frameworks, and the pictographic blueprints of reality. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

    Information We Collect

    Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. This information is stored securely via our database provider, Supabase, and is used to identify you within the platform.

    Content You Create

We store the following content that you voluntarily create on the platform:

    • Journal entries — Personal spiritual reflections you write, including any glossary terms you link to them.
    • Saved collections — Posts you bookmark or organize into personal collections.
    • Reactions and comments — Your responses to published content.

    AI Conversations

When you interact with the AI Rabbi, we store your conversation history (messages you send and responses you receive). If you are signed in, this is linked to your account so you can revisit past conversations. If you are not signed in, conversations are stored anonymously (with no identifying information) for the sole purpose of understanding what our community is seeking spiritually.

Anonymous conversations are never linked back to individual visitors. They are aggregated and analyzed to help us create more relevant content and provide better pastoral care to the community as a whole.

    Automatically Collected Data

We use localStorage in your browser to persist your chat history and theme preferences locally. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics services that follow you across the web.

    How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

    • Provide the platform — Authenticate your account, store your content, and deliver personalized features like chat history and saved collections.
    • Power AI features — Your questions to the AI Rabbi are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to generate responses. We send the text of your question and relevant platform content (glossary entries, published posts) as context. We do not send your name, email, or any personal identifiers to Google.
    • Understand community needs — We aggregate and analyze conversation themes (e.g., "people are asking about grief this week") to guide our content creation and pastoral outreach. This analysis uses AI and is performed on anonymized, aggregated data.
    • Improve the platform — Understand how features are used so we can make them better.

    Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the platform:

    • Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy.
    • Google Gemini AI — Powers the AI Rabbi's responses. The text of your questions is sent to Google's API for processing. No personal identifiers are included. Google AI Terms.
    • Netlify — Hosts the website. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by Netlify as part of normal web hosting. Netlify Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

    Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your authentication session, theme preference (light/dark mode), and chat history for unauthenticated users. We also use a cookie to remember your sidebar preference.

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. No data from your browser is sent to ad networks, social media platforms, or data brokers.

    Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

    • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
    • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies in our database, ensuring users can only access their own data.
    • Secure authentication via Supabase Auth with password hashing.
    • Admin access is restricted to authorized roles only.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

    Your Rights and Data Deletion

    You have the right to:

    • Access your data — View your journal entries, saved collections, and chat history through the platform.
    • Delete your data — Delete individual journal entries, collections, and chat conversations at any time through the platform.
    • Delete your account — Request complete account deletion by contacting us. This will permanently remove your profile and all associated data.
    • Clear local data — Clear your browser's localStorage at any time to remove locally stored chat history and preferences.

Anonymous conversation data (from unauthenticated visitors) cannot be individually identified or deleted, as it contains no personal information.

    Children's Privacy

The Seed Protocol is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

    Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

If you have questions or concerns about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@theseedprotocol.com.
